TPV receives the Slovenian Business Excellence Award

18. 1.2012 - The Slovenian Business Excellence Award is the highest government award conferred for quality in business based on the development of know-how and innovation. This award is given with regard to criteria and practices of the European Excellence Award conferred in other European Union countries. The Slovenian Business Excellence Award stimulates companies to achieve global competitiveness and public institutions are in this way offered a tool to improve their performance.
The award committee announced the following short-listed finalists:
TPV d.d., Lotrič d.o.o., Splošna bolnišnica Novo mesto (General Hospital Novo mesto), Univerza na Primorskem (University of Primorska), Upravna enota Celje (Administrative Unit Celje), Upravna enota Novo mesto (Administrative Unit Novo mesto), Upravna enota Trebnje (Administrative Unit Trebnje).
After a four-year break, the committee recognized this year the best organization meeting the strict criteria and at the award ceremony held on 19 January 2012 in Brdo pri Kranju conferred the Slovenian Business Excellence Award for 2011 to our company, TPV d.d.
Grounds for the award:
- TPV, d.d. achieves balanced results within their operations and within their industry sector.
- They response to customers' needs and meet them in their respective business. All this is directed by a clear vision and strategy focussed on key objectives.
- The company is involved in the local and broader communities through their active contribution and partnership with research, sports, humanitarian and cultural institutions and societies.
- The company manages the natural environment with responsibility and reduces negative environmental impacts.
- The company's employees are familiar with the strategic goals and directions. The employees' knowledge is developed systematically to enhance the company's growth and development. The managers maintain an open dialogue with their teams and support their ideas for improvement and innovation.
- The management is extremely aware of their responsibility and the fact that the collective success depends on all employees and their contribution. Last but not least, the leading role of the Board President is very persuasive.
Upon receiving the award, the Board President of TPV d.d. Vladimir Gregor Bahč stated the award was the result of many years work by all TPV people and expressed his satisfaction to be a part of the selected team of people: »I owe special thanks to all TPV employees, their families and all who have encouraged the company and contributed to achieve progress on our way to excellence. So the credits belong to all of us. I am sincerely pleased to have been given this highest national award. This special accomplishment means an independent external evaluation of our collective work and a confirmation that we are following the right course, the course to excellence.«
