The Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo Mesto is a private institution founded in 2009 at the initiative of local businesses in the southeastern region of Slovenia, which is known for its automotive industry. Located in Novo Mesto, the faculty offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD programs in the field of mechanical engineering.

R&D Capabilities
The Faculty of Industrial Engineering Novo Mesto is actively involved in research projects and strives to develop new concrete initiatives in collaboration with many strategic partners from both the economic and non-economic sectors. The faculty works closely with high-tech companies in process-oriented industries, including the automotive industry, pharmaceuticals, plastics, wood processing, welding, and more.
Research activities are driven through the Institute for Scientific Research, a research group that is listed in the Slovenian Research Agency’s database of research institutes and organizations. The results of the research and professional work are continuously integrated into the educational process and practical applications.
Laboratories
• Virtual engineering laboratory equipped with advanced engineering software for CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics), FEM (Finite Element Method), and FSI (Fluid-Structure Interaction) simulations, utilizing high-performance computing (HPC).
Certificates
• Accreditation by the Slovenian Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (NAKVIS).
