SIJ Acroni is the largest steel producer in Slovenia, employing over 1,300 people. It specialises in the production of hot- and cold-rolled flat steel products. It is among the leading European producers of stainless- steel quarto plates and a key manufacturer of electrical, tool, wear-resistant, and high-strength structural steels.
SIJ Acroni is a member of the vertically integrated SIJ Group. Guided by its commitment to running the business in an environmentally friendly way, SIJ Acroni produces steel using recycled steel scrap, which places it among the best steel producers with the lowest CO₂ emissions.
Since 1976, SIJ Acroni has been producing SIWATT non-oriented electrical steel using the EAF route. The company offers a wide range of grades for the electric power industry, industrial motors, household appliances, and the automotive sector. With extensive experience, industrial expertise, and an upgraded annealing and coating line, SIJ Acroni is developing the
most demanding grades for e-mobility.
