ACS is open to all who recognise their interest in actively connecting and collaborating with other members of the grouping in implementing joint activities. It is the spearhead of SRIP ACS+, a strategic development and innovation partnership that connects companies, public research organisations and other interested stakeholders in the field of mobility.
Interested parties may decide to join the Slovenian Automotive Cluster (ACS), an economic interest grouping whose members are owners and who have the opportunity to participate in the management of the grouping or vote at general assembly meetings in accordance with the number of votes determined in proportion to their cumulative contribution to cover office costs. By joining ACS they have the right to vote and be elected to the advisory and supervisory bodies of the grouping.
Interested parties may decide to join SRIP ACS+, a strategic partnership in the field of mobility, and thus become a member of the general assembly of SRIP ACS+, which gives them the opportunity to participate in the management of SRIP ACS+, and have a vote at general assembly meetings, with each member having one vote. By joining SRIP ACS+ they have the opportunity to vote and be elected to the bodies of the strategic partnership.
Membership in ACS or SRIP ACS+ also brings the following benefits:
- receipt of information about the work and activities of the project office,
- receipt of all information that the office collects and distributes as part of its activities,
- use of support activities of the project office,
- participation in joint activities of ACS members based on expressed common interest,
- opportunity to use the funds pooled for agreed purposes and under agreed conditions,
- proposal of topics of common interest to members for discussion,
- warnings about unfair competition caused by members of the grouping, i.e. partnership,
- advantage over non-members in obtaining or participating in deals organised by the grouping,
- advantage over non-members in obtaining or participating in activities implemented by the grouping,
- the right to use the status of a “member of the Slovenian Automotive Cluster (ACS) economic interest grouping” and to use the logo on a company website and in promotional and informational materials.
- the right to use the status of a “member of the SRIP ACS+ strategic development and innovation partnership in the field of mobility” and to use the logo on a company website and in promotional and informational materials relating to activities planned and implemented as part of the partnership.
Financial obligations of members
Based on the invoice received, members pay an annual membership fee to cover the costs of regular activities of the project office. This amounts to:
- EUR 5,000 for large companies with annual sales over EUR 100 million,
- EUR 3,600 for large companies with annual sales of up to EUR 100 million,
- EUR 1,720 for medium-sized companies,
- EUR 720 for small businesses, scientific and research and development organisations,
- EUR 280 for micro-enterprises, support organisations and individuals
In addition to the membership fee, members also cover financial obligations for joint projects, i.e. activities in which they participate and which are not part of the regular activities of the grouping and are additionally adopted by the general assembly in the annual work programme, as well as the corresponding proportional part of the obligations for activities that are jointly agreed upon outside the annual plan by all or a group of members within the grouping.
Admission and exit procedures
- The procedure of becoming a member is simple and transparent.
- The company or institution expresses its interest by means of the contact form on the website or by e-mail at dunja.podlesnik@acs-giz.si.
- After the expression of interest is received, the company or institution receives an invitation to a meeting at which the terms of membership and the activities carried out by the ACS office, the opportunities for joining them, and the obligations of the interested party are presented. Its professional, economic and development competences and references are taken into account during this process.
- After the meeting, the company or institution receives an accession statement, which must be completed, signed, and returned to the sender.
- Membership begins on the day of receipt of the signed accession statement.
- Any member may withdraw from the grouping, i.e. partnership based on a written statement, if they have settled all their obligations to ACS. The written statement of withdrawal must be sent to the contact address of the project office at least three months before the end of the calendar year in order for it to take effect on 1 January of the following calendar year.
