We attended the biggest annual event of the Czech automotive industry

Event

ACS Director Tanja Mohorič and Office Manager Dunja Podlesnik attended the Automotive Leaders Forum 2025, the largest annual event of the Czech automotive industry, in Prague. At the event, Mohorič also presented Hyundai with an award for companies with more than 250 employees.

In their opening speeches, Czech Minister of Transport Martin Kupka and Minister of Industry and Trade Lukaš Vlček highlighted the importance of the automotive industry for both the Czech Republic and Europe. The sector is facing serious challenges due to the geopolitical situation and technological challenges that are exposing the European market to new competition. It is imperative that Europe relies on its strengths, avoids excessive regulation, and takes the opinion of the business community into account when setting goals.

The ACS representatives used the event to establish contacts and agree on specific activities for the future. With the support of Aleš Balut, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Prague, they met with leading representatives of the Czech Automotive Industry Association (AutoSAP), the Slovak Automotive Manufacturers Association (ZAP SR), VW Slovakia, Škoda Auto, Hyundai, and Toyota. In separate talks, they highlighted specific opportunities for cooperation, with an emphasis on cooperation in the wider Central and Eastern European (CEE) region, not only with the Czech Republic, as well as cooperation within the EU and opportunities for presenting Slovenian manufacturers.
