As part of the program for expansion into China, four companies that are members of SRIP ACS+, in collaboration with the Euro-Sino Automotive Association (ESAA), visited Chinese vehicle manufacturers that are expanding their production into Europe and establishing local supply chains. The visits provided an in-depth understanding of Chinese vehicle manufacturers’ strategies for localizing production in Europe, particularly in the context of integrating local suppliers.
Slovenian automotive suppliers, members of SRIP ACS+, were received by heads of international supply chains, as well as directors of procurement, powertrains, chassis, and international operations. The meetings focused on areas where the visiting companies are strategically positioning themselves as relevant partners for integration into the European supply chains of new global players.
Special emphasis was placed on establishing direct contacts with decision-makers, which serves as a crucial foundation for concrete projects. At the same time, key expectations of Chinese manufacturers regarding capacity, the pace of industrialization, and the readiness of European suppliers for new production concepts were also identified.

Based on the needs of individual companies, targeted activities were also carried out, including visits to suppliers, trade fairs, and one-on-one meetings, all designed to maximize business relevance for the participants. The companies defined plans for cooperation and the development of business opportunities and formulated an action plan for the Chinese market.
We view this visit as an important step toward the long-term integration of Slovenian companies into Chinese supply chains in Europe and the strengthening of their role in the future structure of the automotive industry.
